DBSCHEMA Download Information
You may download a copy of DBSCHEMA that comes with the TIXMXW7 (or
superseding) patch if you wish to prevent the possibility that you might
accidentally create an LFDS capable database.
Note that downloading this replacement program will not change your overall
TurboIMAGE version, just the version reported for DBSCHEMA.
Also note that downloading this replacement program is not a substitute for
installing the TIXMXW7 (or superseding) patch. This replacement program will
only keep you from accidentally creating an LFDS capable database it will not
prevent writing to any LFDS capable databases on your
systems.
Please also see the Large File Dataset Detection
Tool Information Page for additional information on locating any existing LFDS capable databases on your system.
Downloading DBSCHEMA
The replacement DBSCHEMA is available in two formats, a byte stream store-to-disk file and in
WRQ Reflection "Label" Format.
If you choose to use the
store-to-disk format you will need to download the file either to your PC or
directly to your HPe3000. Once on your HPe3000 translate it from a byte stream file
to a fixed record file as follows:
:RUN FROMBYTE.HPBIN.SYS;info="-b ./dbschema.std DBSCHSTD"
This will translate the downloaded file "./dbschema.std"
into a fixed record binary file called DBSCHSTD. With that you can then restore
DBSCHEMA. For example:
:FILE D=DBSCHSTD;DEV=DISC
:RESTORE *D;DBSCHEMA.PUB.SYS;SHOW
If you choose to download the WRQ Reflection "Label"
Format you would download the file to your PC and use the WRQ Reflection File
Transfer option to move the file to your HPe3000.
