The GNU core binaries include many of the GNU foundation tools such as cvs, sed, gawk and autoconf used to build most open software. Included are the GNU groff tools to allow the ability to create custom man pages. You can download just GNU core if you do not need the GNU compilers, but want these tools by themselves.

The download and installation instructions are the same as for the 3.4.2 release. In this case the files are called gnucore.bin and core1.bin through core3.bin. Follow the installation instructions, substituting gnucore.bin for all.bin or corex.bin for filex.bin.

This software was contributed by Mark Klein as is and is provided without warranty of any type. Source code is being integrated into the official releases and will be available from the GCC Homepage.
